I'chiliad a huge fan of Junji Ito and his horror manga/graphic novels, and so I was very excited when this book came out.
Twisted Visions contains over 130 images from previous works, including my favorites Uzumaki and Tomi. The book itself is absolutely gorgeous-information technology is large in size and contains numerous sleeky pictures in all dissimilar sizes, shapes and colors. Highly recommend to art, manga/graphic novels and horror fans. You won't be disappointed.

Many illustrations from the "Junjiniverse" are here, in all large-format beauty. I would suggest having read at least Tomie and Uzumaki earlier this book, since many of the art shown here are taken from these two works, merely I haven't read Tomie yet and I didn't mind.

The collection is read in the style of manga; right to left. This is a casebound book with sewn signatures. The fine art is divided into three sections: Tomie, Uzumaki, and Other Works. Tomie gets 24 pages, Uzumaki gets virtually xx, then the "Other Works" comprises 82 pages. Hardcore fans might be interested to know that the "Tomie" and "Uzumaki" sections contain piece of work that weren't necessarily in the mainline manga. Some of them are from frontispieces for magazines featuring the Tomie character, for example; but all 100% Ito's work.
It was easy for me to come upward with these numbers and details in the last paragraph because the book contains a great Alphabetize at the back that details exactly which publication each work came from, including a short notation nigh it written by Ito. Very nice characteristic.

Overall: Viz Media has been doing good work with Junji Ito'south manga collections and they practise a corking task with this fine art book every bit well. At fourth dimension of writing, this is the merely 5/five Volume Quality rating I've given.

Binding: Casebound with sewn signatures allow flat viewing of the fine art.

It was a definite feast for the optics and recommended for any Junji Ito fan or fine art lover. It was too prissy to see that some of his favorite pieces in hither were a few commission pieces, equally I also really loved those. At that place was just something special about them and his love for the work he was deputed really showed in the end product.
